Meet Barbara Hughes Campbell, Q.C. | Barrister and Solicitor

Barbara Hughes Campbell, Q.C. | Barrister and Solicitor

Barbara Hughes Campbell is a lifelong resident of Fredericton. She is a graduate of Fredericton High School and received her B.A. from U.N.B. in 1969; she then worked and travelled for several years before returning to Dalhousie Law School from which she graduated in 1981. She was admitted to the New Brunswick Law Society in July, 1983. She has been in private practice since her admission to the Bar.


Over the years, Barb has practiced in many areas of law, including family, criminal, personal injury, corporate/small business, real estate and estates. She has appeared in the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench, Trial, Probate and Family Divisions and the Court of Appeal. In addition, she served as a Small Claims Adjudicator from 1999 until 2010. She is also authorized to perform weddings. She was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 2011.


Barb is committed to providing excellent service and sound legal advice at reasonable rates.

Meet Mitchell Maddox Campbell | Barrister and Solicitor

Mitchell Maddox Campbell | Barrister and Solicitor

Mitchell graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2007 and 2010 with his Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law, respectively.


Mitchell articled with Barbara Hughes Campbell from July 2010 to August 2011 and was admitted to the New Brunswick bar on August 2, 2011. He enjoyed working as a team with Barbara Hughes Campbell and Heather Ann Berry so much that he didn't want to leave; he has continued to work in the office as a lawyer ever since.


Like Barbara Hughes Campbell, Mitchell's practice is general with an emphasis on divorce and family law, real estate, wills and estates, personal injury, and corporate/small business law. He also does work as an Agent for the Federal Crown.


As a hobby, Mitchell plays the strategy card game Magic: The Gathering competitively. He has been the Provincial Champion of New Brunswick multiple times and he has also played on the Pro Tour.

Meet Heather Ann Berry | Legal Assistant | Commissioner of Oaths

Heather Ann Berry | Legal Assistant / Commissioner of Oaths

Heather graduated from Fredericton High School in 1983 with a Black F in academics; she did her work placement with Hughes Campbell Law Office in May, 1983 and has continued to work with the firm since then - more than 32 years.


Over the years she has performed all secretarial services required of the firm and in the last several years she has developed an expertise in property transactions. Heather enjoys assisting people with the purchase and sale of their homes and small businesses. Heather has always enjoyed working within a small law firm as it allows her to join in and welcome all clients and help to ensure that they feel comfortable in their experience within the law office setting no matter what is happening in their life at the given time.


Heather was born in Fredericton and resides with her husband, daughter and two dogs on the city's north side. She enjoys volunteering in her local community. She has canvassed for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society for over 20 years.

Maggie is our official greeter; she has been with us since June 2011, following in the footsteps of Buddie who left us at the age of 15, in December 2010.
